AS the race is now over I have to go back to the hospitably business, I will need the help of my network of people, go to about the candidate page to see my resume both public service and Hospitality

I was a candidate for District 1. It has been a long and hard-fought race for Councilperson, and I would like to thank everyone involved. All of your candidates have run for one very important reason: to make our district a better place for everyone to live, to grow, and to thrive. The quality of your candidates, from incumbent Alan Gerson, Pete Gleason, PJ Kim, and the Councilperson-elect Margaret Chin, have all been excellent and I have been honored to run alongside them. Congratulations to them all and I wish them way beyond mere luck in the future. I wish them the best.

I also want to thank everyone who has helped me during my candidacy, whether they volunteered time, donated money, or simply listened to what I had to say. These people exemplified the best of the district and the city, and it was on their behalf that I ran. The issues that were important to them are no less important now that the campaigns are over, and now it is the time for promises to turn into reality. I call upon everyone, from the concerned citizens, the former candidates and the newly-elected Councilperson, to remember the reason we labor and the reason we love the district. I personally promise to continue my efforts and focus on the issues that were important for many of us during the campaign: providing more schools and the necessary healthcare facilities for our rising population and preserving and creating affordable commercial and residential rent. As long as I continue to sit on Community Board 1 and on Speaker Silver's Committee on Downtown Schools, I will always be an accessible voice on behalf of my neighbors in the district and I look forward to working alongside the new Councilperson Margaret Chin on these issues as well, and hope she use my expertise in small Business development and our day to day problems with the City of New York's different departments, maybe even proposing a Small Business advisory Board to the Mayor and City Council

The elections are over for the district. It's important to remember that this does not signal an ending, but rather, a beginning. I have faith in the district, in our leadership, and most importantly, in us, to do what is right for this district. Let's get to work. I'll be right there where I always have - beside you.
